I love these hay bags- each member of the herd has one (most have two- one for stall and one for pasture) but some of the ropes were showing their age. So I just retreaded most of them with the replacement rope and they’re like new again! Super easy to open and close bags. Easy on the hands to carry and easy to hang. Favorite rope to work with by far.
This hay weigher actually works! I was a little skeptical but it works really well.
Have ordered a few times - excellent product, use on horses & dogs. Also, love being able to contact the team when there's questions or issues - great customer service and very prompt. Delivery on all products is always VERY efficient - love this.
Have been using these nets (knotted original) for years. The first ones we bought are still going strong and haven't needed repairs yet despite being thrashed by very determined, bossy and smart ponies! We've appreciated the slight changes in design over the years - particularly the larger opening to make it easier to get hay in. We use an old folding laundry hamper frame to hook the nets open to make it easier to fill them - but we'd love a product designed specifically to make loading the nets easy if you don't have access to posts that you can setup a hook system.
We use the 40mm moderate size holes and find this is perfect for slowing down eating without our ponies getting frustrated - we tried the 30mm and although one of our ponies tolerated it well, the other one hated it (aggressively chomp the net, chuck it in the air, stomp his feet) - but none of this behaviour with the 40mm.
Provided hooves are well trimmed, we often leave the nets on the paddock ground, with the drawstring tied up into a little ball (or replaced entirely with a D-shackle) to avoid tangles/injury-generators, and we find this gives the ponies a good natural grazing position and keeps them engaged as the net moves around while they're eating from it (being smart ponies, it didn't take long for ours to learn to just stand on one corner of the net to stop it moving).
Saves so much from being wasted - and because we feed out twice/day we use the nets to pre-pack all the feeds for the week so it's an easy grab and hang (or grab and chuck over the fence) before and after work.
Have ordered this a few times now - applies so easily with the brush and stays on the horse even after eating, drinking and itching. We use it in small amounts on our pony with a pink nose. We've also found it beneficial over sensitive areas of the skin where hair has been rubbed away and it seems to sooth the area. It definitely makes wherever you apply it look white - which I find useful on my darker horse as I can visually see when it's wearing off and needs to be re-applied.
